Across the Reever

We don't speak often about riding in Canada, but it is actually really cool. Anyhoo, our friend Bobby D. in Toronto sent this our way and we thought we'd share!

My friend Ross is trying to set the cross-ontario cycling record. He is leaving Ottawa on Friday May 8th at around 7:00am and hopes to make it to Windsor City Hall in around 30-34 hours depending on time off the bike which would put him in Windor some time between 1:00 to 5:00 on Saturday the 9th. The current record is 35 hours and 39 minutes.

I was supposed to be on the crew but had to drop out last minute due to some stuff that came up so sadly I will not be making the trip. But it would be great if you and some friends would be able to see him finish. I thought that maybe it would be a good link on the Wheelhouse site.

The official website is here... http://www.crossontario.ca/

Anyway...hope you are well and hope you can make it out to see him finish. It is for a good cause.

Good luck, Ross -- And if you make it over to Detroit, we'll definitely buy you a beer!

On a CA note, check out this story Kelli wrote a couple years ago about taking a bike tour of Ontario wineries: Wandering wine country.

Next thing you know, we'll be singing "Oh, Canada" at the shop every morning.
